Estafania Dilone death, obituary Kearny, New Jersey
The borough of Kearny, New Jersey, is in mourning following the tragic death of Estafania Dilone, aged 25, a former basketball standout whose life was cut short in a single-vehicle accident in Newark early Saturday morning.
Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens II indicated that the accident occurred at approximately 2:00 a.m. along Route 21 near Riverside Avenue. Witnesses reported that the vehicle, proceeding northbound on the elevated roadway, became airborne, cleared a barrier, overturned, and landed on Riverside Avenue. Upon arrival, first responders located Dilone trapped inside the vehicle. She was subsequently extricated and transported to Newark University Hospital, where she was declared deceased. The passenger survived with minor facial fractures and received medical treatment.
A graduate of Bloomfield College with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Dilone was celebrated for her athletic talent and leadership on the basketball court. She was employed in the sportswear sector at the time of her passing.
