Teen Killed In Pedestrian Crash, Montgomery Highway in Dothan

DOTHAN, Ala. — Police say an 18-year-old Dothan man died Sunday night after a pedestrian crash involving two vehicles on Montgomery Highway.

According to the Dothan Police Department, the incident was reported just after 7 p.m. Feb. 8 in the area of the Dothan Pavilion Shopping Center. Officers responding to the scene found David Allen Tice in the roadway, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities said Tice was attempting to cross Montgomery Highway from the La Parilla area toward Walmart when he was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound. A second vehicle then struck him after the driver was unable to see him in the roadway. The department’s CRASH Team is investigating and stated that charges are not expected unless new information becomes available.

Officials described the death as a tragic loss and extended sympathies to the victim’s loved ones. A GoFundMe has been established to support the family with funeral and other expenses, raising nearly $2,000 as of Tuesday.
