The Olympia community is grieving the deaths of three individuals—Paula Victor-Lopez (79), Carlos Lopez-Estrada (70), and Michelle Courts (66)—following a fatal incident on Saturday morning. Law enforcement officials confirm there is no ongoing threat to residents.

Olympia Police responded around 10:40 a.m. to a residence in the 2300 block of 19th Court Northwest after reports of a verbal altercation followed by gunfire. Officers discovered two victims inside the home and one outside. Thurston County Coroner Gary Warnock confirmed their identities. Initial reports indicate a possible murder-suicide, and investigators continue working with the coroner and Washington State Patrol forensics to determine the circumstances.

Paula, Carlos, and Michelle were known for their meaningful relationships and the care they extended to others. Paula was admired for her gentle and compassionate nature, Carlos for his dedication as a husband, and Michelle for her loyalty and friendship.
